Just some old poetry I did for winter

It’s snowing outside.

I look through my window and sigh
This Arctic fox wants to go out and play
To roll in the snow
To make snow foxes
To run through the soft white fields

It’s snowing outside.

But I’m trapped indoors
Deadlines and commitments
Working my paws to the bone
Stress and apathy surround me
I place my paw on the window, wishing, wishing.

It’s snowing outside.

The snow cries out to me
“Come play, have fun!”
The inviting whiteness shimmers in the dawn’s light
Pulling at my soul
I hear it’s soft whisper in the wind.

It’s snowing outside.

I look at the falling flakes and dream
Soon now, my work will be done
And I’ll run outside
And pounce and prance, free from the world
And this fox will play.

It’s snowing outside.

Another piece I did, not quite poetry but it expresses my feelings perfectly

An Arctic Foxes delight...

Alone I stand, as the snow falls in the field. I stand and listen to the soft silence. Nothing stirs my heart, my soul, like a soft quiet snowfall, the quiet beauty in it is unmatched to me.

I stand and hold up my paws to catch...

Snow! soft and white, running through my paws like the sands of time.
Each crystal catching the sunlight, shining and sparkling as it falls, floating down to join the rest in a soft blanket, covering the ground.

It fascinates me, every crystal different, more than you can count. Each so small, so fragile, yet together they combine to form something more, something grand and beautiful, a great white blanket, reaching as far as my eyes can see.

It covers the fields and trees in a shroud of sparkling white, giving the landscape a softness that nothing else can. Creating an interconnection, a blending of form and shape, combining separate features into one larger whole.

I look at my paw prints behind me, watching them fill as the snow flutters down. Soon they are gone, and even I have become one, a part of this picture, one with the magic around me. I stand still as the snow falls around me, settling on my clothes, tickling my ears.

It feels like even time is muffled, frozen in that quiet moment. Nothing moves but the falling snow, and I hold my breath for a moment, savoring it, letting the vision and magic fill me with peace.

An Arctic Foxes delight...
